Peace and quiet pervade at North Penlean Oak where families can wake up to panoramic views over lush fields to the ocean. Feel rejuvenated in the calming space of the former barn with an inverted design, soft furnishings and original features.

One of a pair of properties on the farm, guests can look forward to sipping a refreshing Cornish cider in the light-filled sunroom while gazing across the pretty garden and spending cosy evenings in front of the flickering flames of the wood burner, re-telling anecdotes of the day. Children can unleash their inner Tarzan in the shared outdoor play area as the adults cook up a feast on the BBQ, before retiring to the warmth of the bedrooms.

Found in one of the most attractive areas of Kernow, North Penlean Oak is ideally located to be able to explore the best of rolling Cornish countryside, verdant pastures and fast rivers. You'll find a number of sandy beaches nearby including Widemouth Bay (ideal for surfing), which is less than 3 miles by car. We used the cottsge/barn conversion as a base for the week and found most places we wanted to go to within easy reach as it's on the main Atlanic Highway linking North Devon and Cornwall

Beautiful, comfy cottage ideally located to access the local area. Gill, the owner gives a very warm welcome. Lots of outdoor space for dogs/ children to run around. The garden is not overly secure from the road so dogs/ children would need to be properly supervised. Overall, this was a lovely place to stay and would definitely recommend and stay aRead moregain. This is a great house in the summer for a family of kids, parents and grandparents as it offers space and versatility. It was very well located to black rock and Bude. It is near to a main road, which was a little noisy in the morning, but this didnt bother us. The garden was very secure for the kids and dogs. Overall a great place for a beach loviRead moreng family. Hide

Cottage was perfectly located and ideal for travel around North Cornwall. Could do with a lick of paint and some TLC inside. Security could be improved for children and dogs. All in all a good 3/5 and we would stay again, but wouldn't pay the same amount.
