Coolroe, wow!! If you are looking for a peaceful getaway this is the most beautiful place you could go too. The house has everything you need, we were shocked by how well equipped the house was, and have never stayed anywhere so equipped for everything. The owner checked in occasionally and was always on the other end of the phone if needed. We hadRead more the most beautiful stay at coolroe, and even extended because we were having a fabulous time. Beautiful house with stunning views. Very well equipped for a group holiday. Garden and outdoor area are excellent, though, due to October weather, we didn't use it. Location is good for exploring. Local shops well stocked and pubs pleasant We enjoyed our time at Coolroe.

A return visit to Coolroe and just as enjoyable as the first. Had a few walks around the lake and the town, a very friendly place. One of us went out for a couple of 10k runs (not me) and thoroughly enjoyed the hills! If you desire a relaxing space to clear your head, spend quality time with someone, stare at the view, sit in the garden (weather peRead morermitting), read, play board games, listen to music then cook a feast, this place is perfect. Well, that's what we did anyway! Hide

Absolutely loved this place. The view from the open plan living space is fabulous. Watching the sunrise each morning was delightful.. We were lucky with the weather, so spent some time in the well-planned garden. Coolroe is tranquil, quiet and relaxing, because of its easy layout for a start. The kitchen is well stocked (my heart sang!), there are Read morelots of board games and books, and we loved the welcome basket. Hoping for a return visit in the spring. Hide

Everything was there! Beautiful views, comfy place, very relaxing. Every kitchen item possible (minus a food processor--but wasn't a problem). Games, dvds, comfy beds (a bit on the soft side). Nice outdoor area for dining, & bbq. Not seaside, but things are close enough & easy to get around and do some browsing, exploring, beach, & hiking. Both batRead morehrooms are downstairs-- not a problem, but perhaps could be for elderly or disabled. Super clean and smelled gorgeous. Owners were very accommodating. Hide

Great modern property. Fantastic location, handy to explore the eastern side of Cornwall (although we did venture further afield). Nice touch to find some goodies on arrival (scones and Prosecco), but great that some essentials were there, bread, milk, coffee etc. Lovely garden with gas bbq for evening chilling.
